Pool Maintenance in Palm Jumeirah — Shoreline Apartments

Shoreline pools aren't villa pools. Most are on podiums or tight corners of the towers along the Palm trunk, and salt air off the beach eats everything metal. I've seen 316 marine-grade stainless ladders pit in under two years while the inland equivalent lasts far longer, so we quote those replacements per item rather than pretending a standard fitting will hold. Salt chlorinator cells here need cleaning every 6–8 weeks through summer, not the quarterly cycle people expect — the Gulf heat and heavy bather load push free chlorine demand up fast.

Access is the other thing. Al Haseer through Al Hamri sit behind Nakheel Mall and the Boardwalk, so RTA closures and tower security checks add real time. A standard weekly visit runs around 45 minutes on a clean pool; a penthouse spa pool above the Shoreline podium can take twice that because we're hauling gear through service lifts.

For AED 350–450 a month we test with titration kits — pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid — and balance chemicals included. You'll get a WhatsApp report with before and after readings. What I can't do is promise a fixed arrival window; tower access rules vary.

On Palm Jumeirah at the Shoreline towers, a standard pool runs AED 350 to 450 a month, chemicals included, on a fixed weekly day — say every Tuesday morning for Al Haseer and Al Nabat, Wednesday for Al Anbara and Al Hamri. Each visit takes 45 to 60 minutes: titration testing for pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid, then balancing, skimming, brushing walls and floor, vacuuming, clearing skimmer and pump baskets, backwashing the sand filter, and checking pump current and filter pressure. A WhatsApp report with before/after readings goes out the same day.

Salt pools on these beachfront towers are the exception. Salt-cell cleaning climbs to every 6 to 8 weeks in summer, not monthly, because the marine air and 40°C-plus days chew through cells faster here than inland. That's a real cost, and I'll say it plainly: 316 marine-grade stainless for ladders, light rings and handrails is quoted per item, and a full drain and acid wash with refill is a separate job, not something you fold into the monthly fee.

Here's the limitation. Penthouse spa pools and shared compound pools don't fit the flat rate — they need a site visit first, and I won't quote blind. If your pump or pool light is faulty, that's a repair on top. We're not the cheapest, but you'll know exactly what you're paying for.
