Pool Maintenance in Emirates Hills — Sector P

Sector P pools aren't like a standard villa pool, and anyone who treats them the same will get it wrong. On Lake Sectorium and The Sanctuary plots, you're usually dealing with an infinity-edge pool where the weir wall sits a few millimetres below the deck, so the water level has to stay within about 15 mm or the edge sheet breaks up and looks terrible from the house. Get that wrong and the client notices before you've packed the van.

These mansions also run dosing automation and salt chlorination, and the controllers don't forgive sloppy chemistry. When cyanuric acid climbs past 60 ppm, the free chlorine stops working properly and you get algae on a pool that reads "fine" on a strip. That's why we titrate rather than guess. Salt cells here run AED 800–1,800 to replace, so keeping the cell clean and the salt near 3,200 ppm actually saves the owner money.

The other difference is access. Big electric gates on Emirates Lakes side, multiple water tanks per property, and Montgomerie Club traffic on a Thursday means a visit that should take 45 minutes can stretch past an hour. I won't pretend a weekly slot suits every infinity pool — some need twice-weekly in August. We quote those after seeing the plant room, not over the phone.

A standard pool on one of these Sector P plots runs AED 350–450 a month, chemicals included, on a fixed weekly day. That covers testing with titration kits — pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid — then balancing, skimming, brushing walls and floor, vacuuming, clearing baskets, and a backwash or cartridge clean. I won't quote an infinity-edge pool with dosing automation off a phone call, because it isn't the same job. Those get priced after a site visit, and it'll land higher. A visit on a standard pool takes 45–60 minutes. The automated ones take longer.

Here's the honest part. If your pool's green, one weekly visit won't fix it. Green water needs a shock treatment and probably a drain and acid wash with refill, and that's a separate charge. Salt cells are AED 800–1,800 every 3–5 years, and in this heat they die faster than the calendar suggests. We also check pump running current and filter pressure, clean the salt cell, and inspect valves and lights. You'll get a WhatsApp report after every visit with before and after readings.

One caveat — Sector P mansions usually run multiple tanks, domestic, irrigation and pool. We don't clean the pool tank in isolation. Those need coordinating, and the gates need a safety check while we're on site.
