Painting in Pearl Jumeirah

If you're painting on Pearl Jumeirah, you're dealing with salt air that eats regular paint in under a year. For move-out repainting, residents often need a full coat just to get their deposit back from the building management. It's more work, but that's the reality of living on a private island with three-sided sea exposure.

If you're in Pearl Jumeirah, don't expect a quick weekend job. For a typical 3-bedroom villa or a 2-bedroom in Nikki Beach Residences, you're looking at AED 12 to 20 per square foot for UV-rated exterior paint—that's non-negotiable because the salt air out there eats standard paint in under a year. Interior painting runs a bit less, maybe AED 8 to 12 per square foot, but you'll need anti-mould paint in bathrooms and any room facing the sea. A full exterior repaint for a villa takes 5 to 7 days, and we're talking about 10 to 14 days for a full interior and exterior job, depending on the size. The process starts with a site visit to check for calcium scale on windows and fixtures—it's a real problem here—then we pressure wash, prime with a marine-grade primer, and apply two coats. One honest limitation: the summer heat, from June to September, means we can't paint exteriors between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. because the paint dries too fast and bubbles. Plan for October to April if you want the best finish.
