Whispering Pines pools aren't like a standard villa pool. These are custom-built mansions on big plots, so you'll find infinity edges, overflow gutters, dosing automation, and plant rooms that were specified by whoever built the house. That means the weekly visit takes longer — sometimes 90 minutes instead of the usual 45 — because I'm testing with titration kits, not strips, and checking six readings instead of three: pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, and salt level.

The other thing here is the golf course. Earth Course and Fire Course turf gets fertilised and sprayed, and that aerosol drifts onto the plots. It eats AC coils, and it lands in the pool water too, so chlorine demand runs higher than a villa in, say, Al Barsha. I've seen cyanuric acid climb past 80ppm because people were shocking constantly without draining. That's a drain-and-refill conversation, not a chemical one.

Standard pool runs AED 350–450 a month. Infinity edge with automation, I quote after a site visit. Salt cells are AED 800–1,800 every 3–5 years. And these villas went up 2012–2016, so the joints and fittings are at their first real maintenance interval. I can't fix a leaking buried line on a golf boundary plot in one visit — that needs excavation and I'll tell you that upfront.

A standard pool in Whispering Pines runs AED 350–450 a month, chemicals included. If you've got an infinity-edge pool with dosing automation, that's not a standard pool — we quote it after a site visit, because the automation, the balance tank and the sheer volume of water change how long each visit takes. Say 90 minutes for a standard villa pool, closer to two and a half hours for the infinity setups on the Golf Course Boundary Homes. We come on a fixed day each week, test with titration kits — pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid — then balance, skim, brush walls and floor, vacuum, clear the skimmer and pump baskets, backwash or clean the cartridge, check pump current and filter pressure, and inspect valves and lights. You'll get a WhatsApp report after every visit with before and after readings. Salt cells are AED 800–1,800 every 3–5 years, and I won't pretend that's avoidable.

Here's the honest part — these villas went up between 2012 and 2016, and the plumbing joints are now at their first real maintenance interval. We see it constantly. Golf course fertiliser doesn't help either; the turf aerosols drift over and gunge up your AC coils faster than you'd expect. We can't fix that with pool chemicals.
