Emirates Hills Sector E pools don't behave like a standard villa pool. Most of these mansions were custom-built between 2004 and 2012, so the pool isn't a catalogue job — it's whatever the owner's architect drew. You'll see infinity edges on the Montgomerie side, vanishing edges that need the catch basin skimmed separately, and dosing automation that has to be calibrated against the actual bather load, not a label. When the cyanuric acid creeps past 60 ppm after a summer of tablet feeding, the chlorine stops working properly and the water goes dull no matter how much you add. That's a stabiliser problem, not a chlorine problem, and it's exactly why we test with titration kits instead of strips.

Access is the other thing. Polo Homes side villas often have the plant room tucked behind landscaping, and getting a vacuum and hose run to a Lake-view mansion pool takes longer than the chemistry does. A standard pool visit runs about 45 minutes. An infinity-edge pool with automation can take 90, so we quote those after a site visit rather than giving a flat AED 350–450.

The honest limitation: salt cells on these systems cost AED 800–1,800 every 3–5 years, and when one fails you can't always tell from the controller. We check cell current on every visit because a dead cell reads fine on the display right up until the water turns.

Here's the honest part: we can't fix multi-zone HVAC or AHU faults. That needs a specialist, and I'll tell you so instead of guessing. Also, most of these villas were built 2004–2012, so PPR joints are hitting their first big maintenance interval — if you've got a leak behind a wall, that's a separate job. Draining and acid washing an infinity pool is quoted on site, not over the phone.
