Pool Maintenance in Dubai Hills Estate — Hills View

Hills View pools aren't like the standard villa pool down the road. These are mostly infinity-edge builds on golf-facing plots, and the edge weir changes everything — you can't just net the surface and walk away. The catch basin behind the infinity wall collects fine turf product and grass particles off the fairways, and that stuff turns into a sludgy layer that clogs the balance tank strainer. I've pulled strainers here that were almost solid after a week. Dosing automation is common too, so we're not guessing with chemicals — we test pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid with titration kits, then log the readings into a WhatsApp report after every visit.

The other thing residents notice is the debris cycle. Dubai Hills Golf Club sprays and mows, and the aerosol drifts. It lands in the pool, but it also coats the AC outdoor condensing units sitting on the same plot. That's an HVAC problem, not a pool one, but it shows up in the same conversation.

A standard pool runs AED 350–450 a month. An infinity-edge pool with automation takes longer per visit, so we quote after a site visit. Salt cells go every 3–5 years at AED 800–1,800. PPR joints on 2019–2022 builds are still under Emaar warranty, so we don't touch pipework without flagging it first.

A standard pool at Hills View runs AED 350 to 450 a month, and that's weekly visits on a fixed day with chemicals included. But most of these villas aren't standard. The infinity-edge pools on the golf-facing plots have dosing automation and bigger surface area, so we quote those after a site visit — there's no honest way to price one from the road. Each visit takes 45 to 90 minutes depending on size: titration testing for pH, free chlorine, alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid, then balancing, skimming, brushing walls and floors, vacuuming, clearing baskets, checking filter pressure and pump current, and cleaning the salt cell. You'll get a WhatsApp report with before-and-after readings every time. Salt cells themselves run AED 800 to 1,800 and last 3 to 5 years.

Here's the caveat. Golf course debris is real — grass particles and turf product spray drift straight into your AC outdoor units, and into the pool. During heavy maintenance weeks on the course, your filter works harder and backwashing comes more often. We can't stop that, only manage it.

One more thing: some 2019–2022 Emaar builds use PPR pipework where joints are still within warranty. If we spot a weep, we flag it and you call the developer first. We don't touch it and void your cover.
