Pool Maintenance in Damac Hills — Trump Estates

Trump Estates pools aren't the same animal as a standard villa pool. These are big infinity-edge and overflow pools on plots facing the golf fairways, and most run salt chlorinators with automated dosing. That automation is great until the cell fouls — you'll see it drop to 2400 ppm output and the free chlorine slides while the controller still reads happy. We clean the cell, verify salt at 3200 ppm, and rebalance. An infinity edge adds a weir that needs its own attention, because the catch basin collects the desert dust the golf course throws up, and if the auto-fill sticks for a week the weir effect dies and the basin goes cloudy.

Weekly visits here take longer than a normal pool — closer to 75 minutes once you've tested with titration kits, brushed the full perimeter, backwashed, and checked pump current and filter pressure. Chemical balancing is included, and you'll get a WhatsApp report with before and after readings every visit. Full drain and acid wash, filter sand replacement, and salt cell swaps (AED 800–1,800) we handle too. Honest limitation: infinity edges with failing automation sometimes need a site visit before I'll quote a monthly figure, because AED 350–450 covers a standard pool, not a mansion system.

A standard pool on a Trump Estates plot runs AED 350–450 a month, chemicals included, on a fixed weekly day. But most of these mansions aren't standard — infinity edges facing the Trump International Golf Club fairways, dosing automation, separate spa basins. Those get quoted after I've walked the plant room, because an infinity edge loses water over the weir and the auto-fill masks a leak until the shell starts staining. Budget AED 600–900 a month for that setup. Salt cells are AED 800–1,800 every 3–5 years, and I won't sell you one before testing the cell's output.

Each visit takes 60–90 minutes on a standard pool, closer to two hours on a big infinity edge with a spa. I test pH, free chlorine, total alkalinity, calcium hardness and cyanuric acid with titration kits — not strips — then balance, skim, brush walls and floor, vacuum, clear baskets, backwash or pull cartridges, check pump current and filter pressure, clean the salt cell, and inspect valves and lights. You get a WhatsApp report with before and after readings. Green water needs a shock and usually a second visit that week.

Here's the caveat: I can't fix a buried return line or a cracked weir throat on a maintenance visit. That's a separate repair, and I'll tell you straight when it's one.
